Excitement fills the air on December 12-2023. I woke up so excited to get out on the road and start our journey toward South Padre Island. The RV is ready to go, and we head out at 5 am. Our first day consisted of driving through Utah, and part of Colorado stopping s right past the border of New Mexico we stayed at Santa Rosa. On our second day, we drive to Comfort Texas, and stay in a charming little RV park, wake, have coffee, and are off for a long day drive of about 10 hours, finally making it to Port Isabel Texas, a quaint tropical border port city 5 miles from South Padre Island, We check into an RV Park called The Park Center. Pulling into the site where we will be staying, It is so amazing to look around and see the beautiful palm trees and several Pelicans flying by, landing on a dock by the canal. You suddenly feel warm sensations in your heart for all of the beauty that surrounds you. We get our camp set up and sit out in the sun and have a relaxing day by the water watching Pelicans swoop down into the waters and catch lunch. The fish jump out of the water persistently. What an enjoyable sight. Below are a few pictures of how lovely this place is.

I was able to spend a month and a half at the Park Center, giving me time to get a true feel for the people and the land. All were enough to fall in love with because of the kindness as well as the perfect temperatures, and wildlife…You feel like you are a part of this little community where you can simply go for a walk and a familiar face will be present and a friendly morning greeting is always so welcoming every morning as you take the dog for a stroll.
Very well written…and so far , loving your journey and insights …ocean girl you will be back there one day it’s your path , thanks for sharing, Trisha 💕
